Salsa Fabrics Quilter's Quickest Recipes

Amazing Red
Beans and Rice:

                                                    2 cans (4cups cooked)red pinto beans
                                                    important: do not drain beans!
                                                    4 Tbls. soy sauce
                                                    2 tsp. basil
                                                    2 tsp. chili powder
                                                    1 tsp. cumin
                                                    1/2 tsp. oregano
                                                    2 cloves garlic, crushed
                                                    4 ripe tomatoes, cut-up
                                                    2 Tbls. olive oil
                                                    optional-any other cut up veggies like
                                                    green pepper or onion (leftovers?)
                                                   

                                                    Here's the hard part- Dump it all in a
                                                    pot! Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer
                                                    for 20 minutes minimum but the longer the
                                                    better, tastes better the next day!
                                                    Prepare rice(any kind you've got, really)
                                                    while beans cook.
                                                    Serve beans over rice. Enjoy!
